Welcome to the website for the 25th British Women Writers Association Conference! The conference will take place on the beautiful campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on June 21-24, 2017.
The BWWC welcomes speakers on British women’s writing from the long 18th and 19th centuries. We are currently accepting proposals for papers and panels that consider any facet of the theme “Generations,” including generation as a biological, cultural, social, historical, or political process as well as on attendant manifestations in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century literature and contemporary scholarly discourses.
The conference organizers as well as faculty, students, and administration at UNC-Chapel Hill are committed to affirming inclusivity on campus as well as in the towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Please contact us with questions or concerns regarding the accessibility of conference events and accommodation on and off-campus.
